Hi Everyone,

Thinking back on the last few weeks, i was basically doing nothing, envied by Qingzhou who is always online with me this few weeks.

Life's not like the past few weeks, i am getting busier. Did measurements here and there on the equipments, drew drawings on them. These are not all, I still need to make a video on the Process on making sofas for trainning purposes. However, times fly faster this way.

I seriously hope that time flies even faster so that i can see you guys again.

My Wuxi Trip......

Hey People,

Its been so long since i blog, i went to Wuxi on my weekends to look for my 2 poly friends, Weihao and Daniel.

I went to Wuxi via a bullet train, It was damn lot of people there, people was pushing and squeezing their way. It only took me 35 mins to reach Wuxi

Upon reaching the Wuxi station, i was fustrated as waited for Weihao and Daniel for like half and hour!!!

However when Weihao saw me, he delightness took all my fustration away. He was damn happy when he saw me and of course i was happy too.

We went to the city to have our lunch.
After that we went to one of Wuxi place of interest and took some pictures.

We saw childrens feeding fishes using milk bottles

This is me and DanielChildrens riding on paddle boats on a pool with fishes in it.
(pity those fishes which will sometimes stuck on the wheels)

After that we saw a lady singing. It was "Nice and pleasant"

After that, we went to StarBucks in the city to slack. We had some cheesecakes and some Frappe.

After that, we went shopping around the Wuxi city again.

Good times ended fast, it was about time for me to part.

Before parting, we had dinner in a western resturant.

We had to eat very quickly because i was about to lose my train back to Kunshan.

On the way down, this is what we saw, elevator that goes down to level -1.

This is my trip to Wuxi. It was a fine experience and i was glad to see Weihao doing well in Wuxi.

During the weekend,i was brought to a Sichuan Resturant.
I ordered a fish, Tofu and Bull Frog.
The resturant had different degrees of spiciness and i ordered the mild one, and of course, the mild one was super spicy!!!
I was sweating as i ate, forcing myself. My mouth was numb and i was not able to taste anything at all( It was too spicy... )

Especially this fish.... Can u see the chili?

After that torturing dinner,i went to have another round of torture, FOOT MASSAGE!!!
It was one china mei mei helped me with the massage and as usual, she had a hard time because of my big body and huge feet.

It was foot massage as well as a bit of body massage as well. HEHE =)

After that foot massage, i went back home and had a comfortable sleep.

Hi.

After Recovering from that terrible diarroe for a couple of days.
i decided to treat myself better and hence i bought 2 cheese cakes today.
( a New york Cheese cake and a normal cheese cake)
With a self-brewed Kopi -O
I had myself a nice breakfast for the start of the day.....

First MacDonalds Outlet in Kunshan

Hi Everybody,

The New MacDonald's' Outlet was opened last Sunday, 22th March 2009 at Kunshan 北門路

Look at the food i ate. Rawr! tempting?
The things they sold in this China outlet is sort of different.
They Only have Garlic Chili, Sweet, Sour sauce. ( Wheres the BBQ SAUCE!? )
And so i ate.
And got myself diarrhoea! Because i never wash my hands before i eat. :(
but i am better now....

Fireworks

During the weekend.

I was walking on the streets and look what i saw FIREWORKS!!!
China people put fireworks like SIAO one la. its like 1 week 5 times.
Next time, i will buy one and put it myself.

I found Ajisen RAMEN

I was just waling around during the weekend looking for food to celebrate my survival in China for 2 weeks, and look what i found! Food that feels like HOME....

I was very very surpirsed to find Ajisen Ramen in China.

It is very cheap, 1 bowl of this ramen is just 28 RMB.

Every wonder what is the spongy spongy thing in your sofa?

Let me show you something interesting.

Look at that!!! Super Big bread. they are basically the foams the spongt spongy thing in the sofa.
They are then cut to smaller layers by machines

then they are being cut out to different shapes for the sofas.

In the second week, i got the change to ride a motorised scooter to another plant, the foam factory. it was damn FUN!!!.... WEE but dangerous, the drivers there dont follow rules they just turn without checking blind spots.

the roads there are totally opposite from Singapore. So when crossing the road in Singapore, we look left the right. but in China you got to look in all direction as they turn out very suddenly and catch you off guard.

The Ranks

Basically in HTL there are different ranks in the plant.

The ones in orange are the so call teacher, 教官, of the workers.
The ones in grey are the normal worker
The ones in Maroon are the Quality Inspectors
The Ones in neither of the colors stated above are new workers.

My Company....

I work in HTL Furniture, basically this company deals with making of sofas and leathers. Their customers mainly are from America, Germany, Japan, France and Australia. There are about 8 plants at the place i am working and each plant has the size of a soccer field and i got to walk all 8 of the plants all day.

This is the Outlook of the company i work in.

This is the leather cutting process, this process uses water jet to cut the leather out.
Its super cool!!!

They also have manual laborer drawing out the leather and cutting them out.

This the cutting of the leather after drawing them.

After Cutting them out, they sew them together as a sofa leather cover.

After that, they are being transported to another plant for asembly.

The next process is the cutting and gluing of the firm to the wooden frame.

After glueing of the firm they are sent to the assmbly plant.

The assembly plant. they have assembly lines from A to H at their headquater.
There are others at other places in China.

Lastly they need to go through Qualty Inspection before they are being transported.

This is how they do quality checks.

As the worker's pay is the number of sofas they made, the quality inspectors are the one who determine how much they can get. HEHE. The one in the maroon jacket is the quality inspector.

After the sofa pass thr quality inspection.

They are being packed.

And then they are transported out.

This is what we used to do when i was in Primary and Secondary School. That was their Culture. There are about more than 6,000 Workers in HTL. The picture only shows the workers working the morning shift, the number of workers working the night shift has the same number as the morning shifts. Look how Scary is it. This is what we call a labour-intensive industry.
